How to create a Tokocrypto account + full KYC

Tokocrypto is a local Indonesian crypto exchange. This guide covers official signup, level-1 KYC, and getting ready for Rupiah deposits. Always use tokocrypto.com or the official mobile app.

1. Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 17.
  • Valid Indonesian KTP (or required foreign-resident documents such as KITAS).
  • Active email address.
  • Bank account in your own name (must match your profile).
  • Strong unique password and a phone camera for liveness.

2. Create your account

Website

  1. Open tokocrypto.com → Sign up.
  2. Enter email, password, and confirm password.
  3. Referral ID is optional.
  4. Accept the terms → continue.
  5. Enter the email verification code from Tokocrypto.

Mobile app

  1. Install the official Tokocrypto app → Register.
  2. Enter email + password (± referral) → register.
  3. Submit the email verification code.
  4. Proceed to KYC so full trading features unlock.
Tip: use a dedicated trading email and never reuse your main mailbox password.

3. Level-1 KYC

Identity verification is usually smoothest inside the mobile app.

  1. Log in → start verification / personal data / basic identification.
  2. Select nationality (Indonesia for Indonesian citizens).
  3. Fill personal details exactly as on your ID card.
  4. Upload a clear KTP photo — not a blurry scan; all text must be readable.
  5. Complete liveness / selfie + gesture with good lighting; no sunglasses or hat.
  6. Submit. Review is often fast; allow up to about 24 hours if extra checks are needed.
One identity is typically tied to one verified account. Do not upload someone else’s ID. Repeated liveness failures may temporarily lock retries — wait for the in-app notice.

4. Secure the account

  • Enable 2FA / authenticator when available.
  • Never share email/SMS OTPs (including with fake “support”).
  • Update only from official stores; bookmark the real domain.

5. IDR deposit & first trade

  1. After KYC shows verified, open Rupiah deposit.
  2. Follow the exact transfer instructions for your account.
  3. Send funds from a bank account in your own name.
  4. Once credited, buy a small amount first to learn fees.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No email code: check spam; confirm the address has no typos.
