How to sign up & complete KYC on Pintu

Pintu is an Indonesian crypto app focused on mobile ease: buy, sell, hold, and manage assets. This guide follows the official signup + KYC flow until your account is ready. Always refer to the official help center at pintu.co.id.

1. What to prepare

  • Android/iOS smartphone + stable connection.
  • Active email.
  • KTP (Indonesian citizens) or passport (foreign nationals).
  • Phone number for verification.
  • Good front camera for selfie/KYC.

2. Sign-up (registration) on Pintu

Pintu is mobile-first — start in the official app.

  1. Download Pintu from the App Store or Google Play (verify the official developer).
  2. Open the app → tap Register.
  3. Enter email and password → tap Create Account.
  4. Create an app PIN, then confirm the same PIN.
  5. Your basic account is created — continue to KYC to unlock full features.
PIN security tip: do not use birth dates or 123456. Enable phone biometric lock if available.

3. Account & identity verification (KYC)

Without KYC, you usually cannot fully trade, send assets, or withdraw Rupiah.

  1. In the app, tap Verify Now or go to Account → Verify Account.
  2. Tap Start Verification.
  3. Enter your phone number as instructed.
  4. Choose ID type: KTP (Indonesian citizens) or Passport (foreign nationals).
  5. Upload a clear KTP photo. Follow selfie / photo-with-ID instructions if the current app version requires them.
  6. Confirm data matches → submit.
  7. The Pintu team reviews — according to official help, usually within about 24 hours.
Make sure name and NIK are readable. Avoid blurry, cropped, or glare-heavy photos. Foreign nationals should follow KITAS guidance in Pintu’s FAQ.

4. After KYC is approved

  • You can start instant crypto buys per app features.
  • Send/receive between Pintu users (check latest fees in the app).
  • Withdraw Rupiah to supported Indonesian bank accounts — account must be in your own name.

5. First deposit & order

  1. Open home / wallet → choose an available top-up method.
  2. Follow payment amount and instructions carefully.
  3. After balance arrives, select an asset → enter buy amount.
  4. Read the fee summary before confirming.

To learn safely, start with a small amount and record your buy price. Do not FOMO because “a friend made profit.”

6. Day-to-day security

  • Never share PIN or OTP.
  • Update the app only from official stores.
  • Log out on devices you do not control.
  • Beware fake “re-verify” links in suspicious SMS or email.

7. Checklist

  • ✅ Phone + KTP/selfie KYC approved

8. If KYC is slow or rejected

  • Check status notifications under Account.
  • Retake photos in daylight with the ID flat on a table.
